I know, we have only been once, how can I know that I will need a whole other page for this?. I just know! We are doing this again, and any time we travel we will be looking for caches. Hopefully we will get to visit a bunch of other cities, states and maybe (one day) even countries! How incredibly awesome would that be?! The Hellion and I both enjoy the outdoors immensely so this new adventure is right up our alley! Even just around our town there are tons of caches in so many locations. We can go to the Springs and spend part of the day looking for caches and the other part swimming, or going on a boat tour. We can take short day trips and explore some new places. There are quite a few caches that have interesting information about their location and we can research the ones that don’t. This makes it educational as well! Gotta love the win all the way around. A friend and I are even talking about a weekend trip to find some. So yes, this page is going to be very handy in the future!
For those of you who don’t know what geocaching is: Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.
Go to http://www.geocaching.com/guide/ to learn more about this and find sites near you. Once we have gotten good at this finding thing, we are going to try the other side of the coin, hiding! I can’t wait to go on more adventures and then share them with you!
