The Island Day Two

We are off to a rough start.  We definitely don’t have as much time as I would like to work on this project, but we are slowly but surely getting there.  This week the Hellion drew a map of the island and made up a supply list for his trip.  Lots of different subjects combined in this weeks work, math, geography, oceanography, habitats, survival lessons, and more.  He had to do some research to figure out what he should take and figure out how much it would cost.  He learned about drawing maps and how to represent different things on the map.  It was a good week.

This is his map of Bone Island. He had to name the Island in this task. Listening to him tell me why he set it up the way he did was interesting. His mind works so differently from mine and I love it.

This is the legend he had to make to explain his map.

The first two pages of his supply list. Surprisingly light on weapons of destruction. I was thinking there would be more guns involved, and maybe a tank or two. Apparently the Hellion is going a more peaceful route. He wants to catch the dinosaurs, not kill them.

This is his final total. Pretty cheap considering he had an unlimited budget. We might have to add to it since he is going to need to confine some of the more deadly animals. Hmmm…..how to do that?

To be continued…….
