Highland Games

We spent a week researching Scotland and then Ireland and then capped it off by going to the Highland Games at the Ren Fest.  We had a blast!  We learned a lot about Scottish culture.  The Hellion colored his own kilt and created his own Family Crest.  He got spoiled by his Nini at the Ren Fest and got to watch grown men throw telephone poles.  He also fell in love with Bagpipes.  I just hope he never asks for lessons!

Learning about weapons.  Bows, crossbows, throwing stars and catapults (marshmallow bombs).
