This is why…

So, the Hellion finished second grade Language Arts last week.  You heard me right, it is halfway through the year and he is FINISHED!  He gets it, almost totally.  We did his review test and he got a 90%.   I can’t imagine how bored he would have been in public school this year.  We now get to move onto 3rd grade.  We are going to take a few weeks off and do things like Madlibs and other grammar games.  We need the time to get caught up in Science and History.  I just can’t believe how well he is doing!  I am so freaking proud of this kid and all he has accomplished.  Now, if I can just get him through Math….

  1. Go D! It is amazing that we get the opportunity to work at our children’s pace instead of a public schools!

Yep, it is one of the top reasons I love homeschooling. The Hellion is never bored because he knows something and has to keep going over it again and again. We can move on whenever HE is ready!
