It’s Electric!

It's Electric

So we had a co-op class yesterday and it was fun!  The Hellion did a presentation on Static Electricity, starting with what an atom was and building from there.  He did an awesome job.  I was so proud of him.  He said it was so much fun and can’t wait till next week when we do oceans.  The facilitator for this class brought in some snap circuit boards for all the kids to play with.  Oh man, I have to get a set now!  These things were fantastic.  They will help when the Hellion gets older and goes more in-depth into electricity and circuits and such.  Plus they are just way too much fun!

Snap circuit boards are a great way to teach about positive and negative charges, parallel and series circuits and a lot more.  The Hellion loved creating new pathways and seeing what happened when he connected certain things in certain ways.  It was definitely a great class.  I even learned some new things.
