Rules and stuff

The other day we read about The Code of Hammurabi.  We even got to read examples of some of the laws he enacted.  The Hellion then had to make up his own set of laws for our household.  The kid gets creative at times, and this was one of those times.  He managed to sneak in a rule about letting him play Xbox.  Thankfully the penalties for disobeying his laws aren’t as stiff as Hammurabi’s.  I’d hate to have to cut off his hand if he went over the time limit on his video games.

In case you can’t read his handwriting;

  1. Keep your room clean.
  2. Read everyday.
  3. No fighting.
  4. Turn off lights when not in use.
  5. Brush your teeth twice a day.
  6. Can play Xbox for two hours per day.

LOVE that he added reading everyday to his list.  2 and 6 are easily covered (though he usually gets less than 2 hours), now if I can just get the other four going daily we will be doing great!
